ORANGE CRUSH

This is my 2007 Mustang GT. I have a website at Gotstang.com under the name OrangeCrushMustang that really details the build. I'll add info here as time allows.
I want to apologize in advance to anyone who posts a comment or sends me a message. I just separated from my wife of 19 years & am dealing with a lot right now but I will eventually get back into my happy place & jump back in. Keith
I call her Orange Crush because when I first saw it, I fell in love with the Grabber Orange paint. That is what drew me to the 2007 Mustangs.

I was thinking about buying a new car in the fall of 2006 & had looked at & test drove a leftover 2006 Brazen Orange GTO which I loved but the dealer wouldn't budge off sticker & the new 2007 Pontiacs were already on the lot. I was considering buying a used 2005 Mustang to customize & then I spotted the first Grabber Orange 'Stang on a dealer lot I knew I had to have one.

I knew the Shelby was coming out shortly & I really wanted a Grabber Orange GT500 but the $24000.00 markup over sticker was rediculous. Any other color was $15000.00 over which I still refused to pay. I wanted to order a California Special in orange but was told they don't come in that color. Same for the Shelby GT in orange. Finally I was forced to settle on a GT by default. I decided that I would build a GT/CS clone in orange since Ford wouldn't sell me one. I began rounding up the parts almost immediately & once I had all of the parts I was ready for paint.

It was about that time that I saw a GT/CS painted Grabber Orange on Ebay. After confirming that it was real I got pissed. Shortly after that I spotted the Shelby GTC in orange. Are you as sick of dealers lying as I am. They just wanted to move inventory but I was too stupid to see that. Rather than clone one I decided to go crazy & make it a full custom paint job. I went through several designs before I finally sketched this up & gave my bodyman the final plan.

The final product is Orange Pearl over the stock Grabber Orange with Lexus Black on the top half of the car. The graphics are a combination of Tribal & Traditional flames intertwined at the bodyline. The Tribal graphics have the look of brushed aluminum & the Magenta flames have a cracked finish that lets a little silver through. At last I had something original.

The wheels were made for the now closed Dream Car Factory & were the first thing I bought for the car. Very few sets exist. They are 18" chrome plated billet & run Goodyear Supercar tires from a GT500.

My favorite mod is my Glassback roof. I really wanted one & it solved certain painting issues when I went with a black upper half. It's one of those things that once you have it you can't live without.

Ready to be installed is this 835 rear wheel H.P. 5.4L engine that came out of a 2007 GT500.

I want to install it in Orange Crush but the state of the economy has my spare money paying off my house. I don't trust the government to do whats right so I'll put the car on hold until my mortgage is paid.

1721 original miles & all the paint gets sanded . The antenna & GT emblems are long gone & the holes have been welded & leaded.
